I have worked hard and been very lucky. Most importantly, I met the love of my life when I was 23 and we are still very happily and vibrantly together. Fortunately, I have worked where my creativity, brain and tenacity have been my tickets to success. My work and my love have allowed me to visit and live in the most exciting and beautiful parts of the world. Now we are enjoying retirement/semi- retirement in Palm Springs California. 6 years ago we were able to build a home with a Pool. ( a luxury I think only 2 families, the Willeys and the Mays enjoyed in Layton when I was growing up there) I try to swim every day , 50 to 100 laps (honestly most days only 50, some only 30). Well that is where I am now. It has gone by so very fast! Some days 1970 seems like the ancient past and then again, at times, it seems like only yesterday. I have fond memories of the children who shared my life from Layton Elementary, Central Davis Jr. High and the then Brand New Layton High. I think our experience, sharing our 12 years of public education was unique and not even possible today. I hope all who may read this are well and happy. Douglas.
